INSTALLING THE ABPM 6100

RECORDER ON A CARDIOPERFECT

WORKSTATION

1 Plug the recorder into the serial port or

into a USB port.

Install two fresh AA batteries in the recorder. If the recorder is

on, turn it off. (Press and hold the Start/Stop button for five

seconds until the device emits five quick beeps.)

To plug into the serial port if available

Install the Keyspan software following the Keyspan

instructions (which might direct Vista users to download

drivers from their website). Select all defaults. Keyspan

product registration is optional.

All Programs > Keyspan >

USB Serial Adapter > Keyspan Serial Assistant

Before you start, install the CardioPerfect Workstation software.

See separate installation guide.

To plug into a USB port if

no serial port is available

Go to Step 2.

This screen might not come up.

(a) Make a note of the COM port that is assigned to

your recorder. In this example, the port is COM5.

(b) Close all windows.
